- 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, cheddar cheese, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Add green beans to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with crispy fried onions.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- Can substitute fresh green beans with frozen if fresh are unavailable.
- For extra crunch, add more fried onions or a sprinkle of grated cheese on top before baking.
