- 1 pound breakfast sausage, casings removed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sausage, cheese, green onions, and Italian seasoning.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of sausage mixture in the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form a pocket and seal edges.
- Brush each pocket with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before baking.
- Serve with a side of fresh herbs or hot sauce.
